LOCATION: Ellettsville Town Hall

Meetings are held every other Wednesday at 6:00 PM through May

Why explore reorganization?

State tax law changes (Senate Bill 1) and growing state-level discussion about eliminating township government are increasing pressure on small towns. The proposed reorganization allows Richland Township and Ellettsville to:

  • Protect essential services
  • Strengthen fire and emergency response
  • Support long-term economic stability and growth
  • Keep land use decisions local for Richland Township and Ellettsville residents

What’s happening now?

A Reorganization Committee, supported by resident-led subcommittees, are preparing a full Plan of Reorganization.

Residents are encouraged to participate by applying to serve on subcommittees and attending meetings.
